About Our Local Office

The Greater Unifour Office of Right at Home is a locally owned and operated franchise office of Right at Home Inc., a senior home care and staffing company providing care since 1995. Our mission is to improve the quality of life for those we serve. We do that by providing high quality in-home caregivers to serve you.

Right at Home Caregivers focus on helping individuals maintain their independence and dignity while assisting with a variety of daily tasks including:

• Social Interaction
• Medication Reminders
• Meal Preparation
• Light Housekeeping
• Errands and Transportation
• Assistance with Dressing/Undressing
• Standby Assistance with Bathing/Showering/Walking

Right at Home Caregivers are bonded and insured to protect our clients. The Right at Home orientation process insures all Caregivers clearly understand how to meet clients' needs in a respectful and compassionate manner.

In addition, we develop an individual care plan, which is monitored through frequent home visits to insure services provided by the Caregivers continue to match our client's changing needs.

Clients and their families have used our services for many reasons including:

• Assistance for a loved one who can no longer stay alone
• Short-term support at home after a hospital stay
• Respite care to relieve family caregivers
• Alzheimer's care
• Extra care in an assisted living facility, nursing home, hospital

Walter and Carolyn Moore and Mohamad and Lorraine Karimi own the Greater Unifour Office. Walter and Carolyn are lifelong residents of the Greater Unifour area. Walter received a Business Degree from Appalachian State University and has owned and operated a family business for more than thirty years. Carolyn received her undergraduate degree in Education and a Masters Degree in Computer Education from Appalachian State University. She worked as a public school teacher for fourteen years and is currently working in Web Development.

Mohamad received undergraduate degrees in Biology and Chemistry from Appalachian State University and a Bachelor of Nursing at Winston-Salem State University. He has been a Registered Nurse for eight years with a concentration in geriatric care. Lorraine has twenty years of office and accounting experience and will serve as the primary administrator of daily operations.

Walter, Carolyn, Mohamad, and Lorraine chose to open their Right at Home office because they saw a need in the community to provide high quality, dependable and affordable care to seniors in the Greater Unifour Area. Their goal is to help seniors remain in their homes while maintaining their dignity and independence.
